poetry no one likes

if i asked you to hold me
would you tell me no?
as time flies by so slowly
would i have to see you go?

would days go by without me
would you be lost if i did go?
if i mean so much to you
why dont you tell me so?

why are my prayers unanswered?
with every broken dream
why am i cold and alone?
and never what i seem?

if i asked you would you hold me
would you dare decline?
or would you save me from myself?
and take your hand in mine.
